@Anon 10 Nov, 14.48. I don't believe in 'sin' so we can park that one. However if you think that child abuse should go unpunished, then (assuming you're a Solicitor) you should reconsider your career choice. Child abuse is simply dreadful. People like Mr Proffitt create a market for this disgusting abuse. We are obliged to act with integrity and to uphold the law. Lesser offences might be treated more leniently. What would the public think if the Solicitor across the desk from them has a conviction for child porn? What if it was your child? I have no sympathy, and I'm glad he's been kicked out.
