Amy Sutton - interesting to hear from your perspective. Serious stress is rife in the profession. Pay is linked to a feeling of worth and this is probably what gets us down; however there are other, chronic problems contributing to this such as uncaring treatment, lack of support, constant, increasing pressure on targets and time recording, feeling unvalued, sociopathic "leaders", secretive bonus schemes, the fact that modern communications means that clients have higher (unrealistic?) expectations, lack of succession planning due to partner greed... but this has all been gone through before countless times on these comments pages. There are kindred spirits here, but nothing changes in daily reality.
