One of the Anonymous comments seems to advocate, "Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone", as the best approach to regulation. In my experience that has long been the approach the majority of the legal professions, including the judiciary and the regulators, and accounts for a downward spiral of incompetence and dishonesty. The first always leads to the second. How many lawyers have ever reported another for suspected dishonesty, as they required to do? Are the lawyers' and judges' codes of practice really rules of conduct or just cynical advertising puff?
