Combining the comments about airline security and court security ........
I regularly carry a very small pocket knife. I use it to remove staples and cut red tape (now there's a thought!).

With a blade of just 3cm it is well within the 6cm limit allowed on European Airlines but most definitely NOT allowed in a court building.
