Fools are easily parted from their money.

What the Law Society should be doing is promoting the Find a Solicitor service not publicising rival services.

There is nothing stopping three local firms clubbing together to buy Google Ads that generate leads. If there are three firms with complementary businesses that's what I'd do.

Put a budget of £1000 in each for some legal key words and see how many leads that generates over a couple of months. There may be a bit of overlap e.g. all three firms may offer the same wills servce, however, the speed to lead and the conversion process will mean that each firm will develop a system to compete that will knock rivals out of the water.

It's better to convert 1 in 3 leads and own the system than to pay someone else to create the system.
