With the total absence of remuneration increases for legally aided work its only going to get worse. Any careers advisor would strongly advise against going into legal aid work. Every trainee/work experience person we have is told the same. Dont do it.

In 10 years time legal aid will be dead because no one who wants to be able to have a mortgage, have a family, have some spare time will even consider it.

The pay available just cannot keep up with the cost of living.

Less like deserts and more like continents in the future I expect.
