The strange thing is that If you suffer minor injuries in an RTA the starting point is that you are a dishonest claimant and in any event deserve nothing. On the other hand if your flight was delayed you are hard done by and need compensation.
The point I am making, before I get all those thumbs down is that the motor insurance industry seems to have been successful in persuading successive governments that the compensation culture will destroy civilisation as we know it, whereas the airline industry is required by the EU to actively encourage compensation claims.
