This is n't about "transparency" - its about driving prices down to the perceived benefit of the consumer. Clients will increasingly make decisions based purely on price (and not on quality or reputation) and we will again (as we did in the early 90's) compete with one another on that basis to the detriment of both ourselves and, ultimately , our clients. To pretend that any solicitors firm these days hides its prices and then ambushes clients with inflated fees is simply wrong.
