This might be fatuous from an outsider but.... if something is "served" to an email address and the recipient says we don't accept this by email, surely the response is, well having said that to me is evidence that you have received it and therefore have notice of it. In this modern age, for all its faults with which we are stuck, surely antiquated "rules" need to be reviewed.
