I was an LIP in 2013 when the Jackson reforms were at the last stage of implementing the changes in CIvil Law. Every month new changes were being made, where was the consideration that LIP's needed help, despite Lord Woolfe publicly stating his concern for financial and psychological damage LIP's would encounter from Solicitors abusing the Courts process for financial gain, and the anguish one could expect to be left with after experiencing the truth that there is no Justice.
I am not stupid, I have a good understanding of things, BUT how is one supposed to learn the civil procedure in 14 days.??

I was on the receiving end of ineffective Service of a claim from a Solicitor, (no particulars of claim in service pack) I learnt that this is a great trick employed by Solicitors, total confusion in what to do in response, when this type of Service actually voids the claim. The claim went on under the 1st service and the 2nd service almost 4 weeks later by the courts, who stated time would run from from 2nd service.

I had Acknowledged Service, was in time to submit defence, arrived at courts for a hearing and was sent to prison for 14 days for contempt. This is just the tip of the full scale of injustice, malpractice, lack of court management and incredibly nasty treatment I was afforded by a string of different district judges and magistrates.

To top it off the claimant under the care of mental health got a personal injury award of £16k and put a charge on my property. I suffered a complete breakdown lasting 4 years, everything I believed in, Justice, right from wrong, lifes fundamental elements of belief totally destroyed, along with my life and home.

WHERE WAS THE HELP THEN???? WHAT RECOURSE DO I HAVE NOW?????
