There are another 50+ staff being made redundant at the end of February 2018 with the closure of the SGS Chelmsford office that deals exclusively with claims where fraud and/or LVI is alleged. Ironic as in the dark days of Quindell (post Silverbeck Rymer and Pre-S&G) it was this office that kept the business afloat, out billing all other offices per head across the business. The introduction of fundamental dishonesty was the death keel with genuine Claimants too afraid to risk attendance at trial for fear a finding of FD. The rest is history. Where will these people be re-employed in a shrinking PI market? Very sad.
