For the record, and the uniformed, A2J advocates some reform in agreement with HMG , and bar 2 minor amendments, A2J is in full agreement with the Recommendations contained in the Insurance Fraud Task Force report dated January 2016.

A2J Is the only campaign group, which has prepared an alternative solution to H MG's proposed Civil Liability Bill, which is contained in the Alternative Claims Framework. This can be viewed on the A2J website at www.ajag.co.uk. Those from the insurance sector should take the trouble to read this, you might be pleasantly surprised.

The PI sector can achieve a collaborated solution, which will satisfy HMG's quest for reform. Indeed the government would appreciate such a move forward. This is a statement, which is agreed by many leading players on the claimant and defendant side of the sector.

There is speculation that the Bill will not be presented before the summer recess in 2018. As a consequence, an agreed collaborated solution to many of the proper criticisms of the PI sector, would be most welcomed by HMG.

Surely the time is now for both sides of the personal injury sector to meet around the table, mediate a solution, and then present this to the government for implementation?

There is much opposition inside Parliament by leading politicians to the reforms (since amended) as suggested by the current editor of the Evening Standard, in his 2015 Autumn statement.

The government cannot risk a defeat on the Bill, having such a narrow majority, consequently collaboration must be the way forward, as the future of the Civil Liability Bill is so uncertain.

It is clear that savings have never been passed on by the insurance sector, nor will that happen in the future.
