I didn't ask for it or complain. I was ringing to update my personal details and just mentioned in passing that it had taken a while to get through and they simply knocked it off without me even suggesting it. Year before I cancelled one policy with one insurer to reinsure with the same insurer through another comparison site, saved £80 on my premium and got free cinema tickets. When I rang them to tell them what I was doing they wouldn't match the price that they themselves were quoting elsewhere despite having been with them 5 years no accidents etc. How much did that cost to them? This is proof that there is still sufficient slack in the system to make the savings proposed and more.
