Patronising comments from "Sir Richard" and Anon 2/12 @ 19:09 below. It's still the case that women (a) bear the brunt of caring responsibilities (for elderly parents as well as young children) and (b) still have to fight harder than men for more senior positions, as so many firms still equate partnership with 24/7 availability and cannot understand that those with family responsibilities are just as dedicated to their work and that flexible working (for everyone) can deliver quality work as well as result in a more engaged employee.
