I agree unreservedly with the SRA proposals. The profession can not have its cake and eat it at the same time.
Complaints are very serious matters. The fact that a client (consumer)takes the time to complain shows the gravity of displeasure. The cavalier attitude of some practioners regarding clients greviences can only be described as dispicable.
I must say the old adage can sometimes be true "If you have nothing to hide you have nothing to fear".
Everytime the SRA or other regulatory body for the profession makes constructive proposals, the regulator "bashing" brigade gets into full swing. Well I say to those of you in the ranks of the "bashing" brigade, thank your lucky stars that I am not the regulator or have a senior position there or else these proposals would seem like a lovely Chateau on a warm summer's evening compared to the proposals I would suggest.
