Accountability. Who and in what circumstances should be accountable? Should superior orders or laws be a defence? What should be the penalty for getting a decision wrong? What is wrong?

If dismissal - at best - then no judge would survive 5 years. Unless he adjourned all his cases - actually not even then. That happened to me - not that I adjourned all of mine.

What about restaurants that overcharge - sack the manager - or undercharge - sack the waiter. Or is there an accountability cut off point? Where?

The issue is whether there should be a release review for indeterminate sentences. My sense of fairness - let alone HR - says Yes. If so how.? That is a matter for parliament. How did the MPs who now criticise the process vote or comment at the time? If For or silent, why do they now complain?

It's very difficult.

A review of the process including the publication of decisions may be needed. But hyperbolic criticism won't help.
