I guess the conclusion based on Anon 13.20 below is don't supply an LLP unless you get the money upfront. It is a sad day that a firm of solicitors is ever regarded as just some company that can go bust and the people behind it can shut up shop and start afresh somewhere else scot free. Aside from the ability to give good advice, trust and honesty are two of the main pillars of our profession. Sounds pompous I know but if we want to win the public's trust we need to be different from the rest of the rat race. Show a bit of class.
