Anon 12.51; what did he do that requires investigation?

Have allegations been made against him, even if unproven, which affect his suitability to practice? Has he been convicted of a criminal offence which may undermine public confidence in the profession?

If not, on what basis is SRA investigation required? This type of knee-jerk reaction is what I warned against in my comment at 12.35.

If nothing else, it devalues the #metoo movement because it allows those with 'neanderthal' opinions to portray the movement as 'man-hating' and 'feminazi' (to use quotes I have seen online in reference to #metoo).

I agree his apology is lacking, but that's a question of semantics and morals, rather than anything to do with regulatory involvement.
