David, you make a very valid point about getting the case tried in the UK so as to evoke double jeopardy in the future should Mr Love wish to travel outside of the England and Wales. Those that defeat extradition requests often end up restricted to England and Wales unless they can get the matter dealt with at source. One solution would to have reciprocal recognition of decisions relating to extradition refusals.

No doubt the DoJ will monitor those that have have been successful in defeating extradition requests so that if they leave the sanctity of this jurisdiction, they can have another attempt at seeking their extradition. That danger will remain long after the extradition decisions are forgotten.
