I always consider using 'with all due respect' to mean 'I have no respect because you have lost it'. 'Quite frankly' is another formidable weapon as are sprinklings of 'merely' and 'quite simply'.

On the PSC many years ago the lecturer recounted a story about a law firm in Australia receiving a fax where the sender solicitor had simply scrawled over the original letter in huge letters sending it back 'GET ***KED!' The reply was along the lines of 'We note your comments and will draw the Authority's attention to your extremely offensive and discourteous reply.....' which was faxed off. It was promptly returned by fax with the reply 'I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU TO GET ***KED ALREADY'. No longer in practice I believe. That one a bit beyond colourful methinks.
