Samantha, I didn't say the I quest did a finding of neglect. But it did reveal facts which show some 'alternative facts' in that the GP covered up her failure by saying she was busy with other work, whereas the authorities say she was not.

Also nobody is justifying the solicitors conduct, but perhaps if the consequences of a mistake were not inevitably going to be loss of career and loss of *significant* sums of money in disgustingly extortionate costs orders at the SDT, perhaps solicitors who have made mistakes would come clean earlier? Other professionals who make mistakes just get a written warning, even where the consequences of that mistake are another person's premature death.
