"....Tim Collins: Your average lawyer representing the CPS won't be inhouse; he'll be an agent instructed for £200 for the day or what have you. He probably won't have a phone number for the reviewing lawyer, if he does he probably won't ring it, if he does he probably won't get an answer, if he does, it'll almost certainly be "we think we've complied with our disclosure obligations". The CPS will NEVER drop a case in the magistrates' court out of a realisation that they have failed to comply with their disclosure obligations. Maybe all this will change that? It's hard to say at this stage..."



Are we saying this is a CPS fault, a Court based fault?
