Just wondered what the scenario would be if the same solicitor acted for both seller and purchaser. This proposition is very much on the cards by those bright sparks who continue to meddle in our conveyancing system. Also are there conveyancers still out there who are capable of practicing conveyancing without using the nanny system badged as the protocol? I suppose the answer must be yes, provided they are of the older generation. Younger conveyancers I suspect would struggle without the protocol for guidance.
