Anonymous 12.34 - there is too much made of co-op's "ethical stance in the market".


This is how a few years ago Co-operative legal were describing their "probate field consultant" job role (experience required: "face to face sales experience"):

"Showing great empathy, your role will focus on discussing probate and wills for recently deceased relatives, whilst sensitively generating revenue — sales that will be rewarded with an impressive OTE."

Most of us will turn away opportunities to generate revenue on a daily basis because that is what is right by the client - I would not trust a salesman employed on a sales target basis by one of the large ABS outfits to take the same approach.
