What I continue to find odd in all of this fundamental dishonesty lark, is the fact that there exists no analogous rule in any other type of claim. Meaning a person bringing a nuisance claim who deliberately 'over eggs' it isn't bound to be dismissed/struck out if that is found.

A casual flick through the law reports will throw up any number of claims, usually business related, in which half truths are more common than whole and in which litigants and witnesses are often savaged by judges. But very rarely does that seem to give cause for dismissal unless there are literally no triable issues.

Why is personal injury so different? Dishonesty is surely dishonesty? Or shall we avoid that debate altogether?
