If there is proof that female candidates were discriminated against based upon gender, and therefore that that is the reason for fewer women attaining partnership, then this article should be taken extremely seriously.

We should all support an equal approach without discrimination - same for LGBT and BAME candidates too.

I recall a study in which two identical fake CVs were submitted for the same role; the 'white name' candidate received a greater number of interviews than the 'asian name' candidate. That is the danger of unconscious bias.
