At 15.12 and 17.38. It happens in small firms too.

Measuring "true value" or "added value" to any business is so important, but is often sacrificed at the altar of the "bottom line".

The self-named "rainmaker" in our firm is an egomaniac and a misogynist who surrounds himself with women, and a minority of timid or compliant males, deploying coerce control tactics to intimidate and rule the roost. His excessively broad brush approach, leaves daily chaos in his wake causing everyone else to waste huge amounts of non-chargeable or unbillable time clearing up after him.

So whilst month on month and year after year, he bills more than anybody else, it's at everyone elses expense (financially and mentally). His M.O. has been detrimental to the overall growth and success of the firm and the individuals who work for him!

All hail the rainmakers.
