My motor insurance renewal came last week. It had gone up - from £399 last year to £424 this year, despite a year's extra no claims and the savings made by the insurers.
A little disgruntled, I chose a price comparison site and entered in all the details off my renewal.
The cheapest quote was £223 - over £200 savings - but it was from my own insurer!
Why aren't the government doing something about this gross overcharging by insurance companies?
