The sad fact appears to be that the MoJ is seriously surprised by what is now happening. This was inevitable from the moment that Tribunal Fees were ruled unlawful. Even had that ruling not been made, with any reasonable degree of foresight the withdrawal of Tribunal Fees in due course, particularly by any incoming Labour Government, should have been pretty obvious. Where, one has to ask, were the MoJ contingency plans, as they closed Tribunals and redeployed, or paid off with handsome packages, otherwise irreplaceable Tribunal staff, or am I more correct in thinking that a well-known phrase involving words such as up, organise, and brewery would be more appropriate ?
