"The name's George Whitebread, I say what I like and I like what I bl***y well say...you know you're problem....you're mad...stark ravin' mad..."
Clearly a somewhat cynical view but the other end of the spectrum is just as horrifying.
When does intervention become intrusiveness bordering on inappropriate harassment: "cheer up love...that expression would stop a clock"
Some people are born with miserable neutral faces...are they now to be mithered by Ned Flanders to turn that frown upside down?

A clear policy or approach for the beneft of those known to be bereaved, victims of crime or on rigorous medication is to be welcomed but should be there anyway shouldn't it?

And what if HR thinks you're "on a behaviour spectrum (an emerging and dangerous bandwagon approach towards diagnosis) but you are genuinely well...is there to be a compulsory referral to a shrink? prescribed medication?
And what effect would such have on employees, their future expectations of references or their life insurance cover?
