I thought that a) the DPA deals with the UK derogations and areas not covered by the GDPR. it does not mirror the GDPR - there is no need as it takes direct effect. b) as the whole point of the legislation is to protect and regulate data usage - only allowing processing for lawful purposes - I am unclear what part of the Bill would allow the ICO to do as suggested? Are they not also subject to it and can therefore only process data in line with the principles?
