Before anyone contributes to this, bear in mind that probably all students at University never receive a full week of hours. My daughter never has - she's in for no more than 2 to 2 1/2 days a week and the standard of teaching is woeful. I hear the same story from friends whose children are at different universities.
I'm sure that if she were at a private school the fees that she would have to pay would give her a full week of lectures - all universities do now (because they can and it's all just about business and maximising profits) is take the maximum fees from students and deliver minimum teaching.
