I agree 11.55 - they area already making life very difficult with their allegations , but they are still dealing with a large number of matters in the portal. I suppose that is because they know that ultimately we will come after them in the courts if they are too unreasonable which will cost them more in the long run.

What I am saying is that as an insurer under these rules I would simply refuse to settle any 3rd party claim. I think I would make money doing that.

I can't see why any insurer would ever agree to settle any claim under this system where there is no costs risk if they lose and the likelihood of a layperson issuing court proceedings is virtually nil.
