From the outside, it is difficult to gauge the impact of the action so far.

As this has been ongoing since the start of April, I would have expected things to be fairly dire by now. However, the Gazette coverage gives little real sense of the effect this is having up and down the country. I don't think I've seen or heard anything about this in non-specialist news, other than perhaps a few short mentions at the start of April.

Is it that those cases since 1st April have just been put on hold and not progressed through the system at all, or that they have progressed but have not reached trial yet? Or is it already chaos, but not being reported fully or at all?
