I am a retired solicitor who has not practised for some years. I recently bought a flat and was horrified to find there is no longer an actual Land Certificate which is handed over on completion. The fact that everything is done on-line means that fraud is facilitated. I think that The Law Society should be pushing for a return to what seems to me "the good old days".
