The Argus article is easily readable on line. The bar's action is not mentioned, though I feel that it may be in the offing.

There is mention of a failure to get a PSR, though I thought that these were judicially ordered.

The judge let the young attendee down gently, describing her as being sent as "cannon fodder". His wrath - justified or not - was reserved for her seniors. It may be that there is more to this story.

It should be looked into.

The bar action is now entering a potentially nasty phase - I posted today to an earlier article on this topic - and it is necessary for the LS and SRA to give robust advice and support.

As an aside about the £50k pa:

Is this a gross figure?

Is it net of chambers costs, insurance, travelling and other allowable expenses? If not what is the take home pay?

How does the call demographic affect it? After all one senior barrister on £320k will bring 7 on £12k up to £50k.
