Robert A - When you read it was left at 6:49am, I doubt there are many receptionists (or tenants) working that early, so I wouldn't be surprised if it had just been left on a counter or table.

It says tracked delivery - not signed for - so that points to it being left in an open, unattended area even more likely.

Of course, how do we know it was actually "left in reception"? That could have been what the delivery driver or postman put on their notes, but it could just as easily been left on the doorstep - which seems likely at that time of the morning, meaning a passer-by possibly spotted it and nicked it.
