While it is attractive to look to impose sanctions to deal with the scourge of cold calling we need to be careful when considering when we are talking about a fundamental reform which, in effect, amounts to lifting of the corporate veil.

Fine (or indeed imprisonment) if this is along the lines of the personal responsibility for directing and controlling employees so as to procure an offence but a knee jerk response is not going to stop this when so many calls are VOIP from outside the jurisdiction.
