Absolute nonsense.

By way of example this government has made SDLT so complex that a lot of time is spent on some transactions just dealing with that aspect. How will that fit in with this daft proposal?

They think conveyancing is like buying your shopping online. I can just see it now "but on your website it says that your charges for this transaction should be £X and you are charging me £Y"

Having just shelled out £98,000 to a firm of estate agents for commission on a sale where complex SDLT issues arose and where our charges were a fraction of the agents' fees, this type of thing just incenses me.


The SRA needs to get a grip and fast.
