The fee for a stat dec is fixed by the The Commissioner of Oaths Order 1993/2297. Good to see that some things have not gone up recently!
The fee used to be reviewed periodically as follows
1975 £1.00
1980 £2.00
1984 £3.00
1988 £3.50
Just think what you could have bought for £1.00 in 1975.
