If folks want to provide a free service then that's marvellous, but nobody should be advertising that they're patting themselves on their backs about it - you provide it as a service because it is needed, not because you want to feel good about it.

Indeed, it may cause adverse publicity and grist to the mill accusing lawyers of being fat cats who can work for free, or supporting HMG's drive to make lawyers either extinct or into the lowest social class of all.
