@ 20.39 you are incorrect.

The term 'legal executive' is not a statutory protected title, unlike Solicitor or Barrister. 'Legal executives' may well have very limited training or no qualifications.

I think may be referring to 'Chartered Legal Executives' who, are Fellows of the Institute of Chartered Legal Executives and, have honours degree level qualifications, 5 years training, with at least 2 years post qualification. The title 'Chartered Legal Executive' is protected by virtue of CILEx being an organisation under the jurisdiction of the Privy Council.

No difference to surveyors or accountants. Anyone can use those titles, but not 'Chartered Surveyor' or 'Chartered Accountant' unless ...
