Drag mum in if she supported the claim and if it is false then she should get hit with FD too.

About the fear of FD - some folks want to end a claim when given a standard FD warning, even though they are most certainly genuine and quite probably trying to make light of the problems they have because of the injury they suffered.

Plus bear in mind that if an allegation of FD is made the advice has to be 'Continue and if the judge thinks FD then you lose everything, you pay the defendant's costs and it will be a breach of our retainer and you'll have to pay our costs too. And you may go to jail and have your name plastered all over the Daily Mail.'

I think you should try advising someone on this before jumping to gross assumptions.
