Very well said Elizabeth King.

The irony of course (for those in the comments thread below who clearly work for or connected to the insurance industry) is that their jobs will also be in jeopardy. Good luck to those of you who can't even use an apostrophe properly.

Sad day indeed. As Elizabeth says, insurers charge increasing premiums when there statistically fewer accidents, safer cars and roads and yet have the gall to claim they make no profit.

I hope that those that claim 'whiplash' is some mythical, fictitious made-up money-making affliction of the poor never have the misfortune to be involved in an RTA, and if they are, they are fully remunerated by their employer for any time off and don't have to pay for medical treatment due to the state of the NHS.

If Claimant lawyers have had any part to play and that is a big if, it is the insurers who have perpetuated things. with their pre-medical offers, third party capture etc.
