And will these freelance solicitors, without minimum PI cover, be allowed to have standard terms and conditions by which they contract out of all and any liability to their clients? If so, we'd better consign the word 'solicitor' to the history books. If not, then I must assume that those freelance solicitors will enjoy living dangerously. Either that or they will be transferring all their assets out of their hands and making themselves 'men of straw' - in which case, yet again, we can consign the word 'solicitor' to the history books!
