If your proposed course of action were followed, many paralegals in such a situation would be dismissed. There are not many paralegals who have the cohones to go to a COLP (if one existed at the time) and almost none who would go to ahead of chambers.

In the real world, paralegals tend to shut up and keep their heads down because it is a job and they may want a training contract. Sad but true.

As for the paralegal in this case - no matter their motives and how laudable their actions, their career in the law is over.
