Thank you, Fiona, but I thought I learnt in schooldays long ago that Parliament can pass any law it likes and, if it passed a law that Fiona Swann was to be arrested and detained indefinitely and all her property seized and made the property of the Crown (or the PM etc) and gave, eg, the Home Secretary all powers to enforce it, including to arrest and detain anyone who tried to frustrate it, then no Court could strike it down. We could have a dictatorship without violent revolution if a majority of MPs voted for it 51-49. How wrong am I?
