Anonymous, actually most immigration solicitors (often 'so-called...') are not accredited under either route. Many of them do very poor work. All non-solicitor advisors must be OISC accredited. That's why I'd often advise a person to go to an OISC regulated adviser than to a solicitor who is not accredited. As a person with personal experience of both schemes, I know the OISC exams are as robust as the TLS, and the pass marks comparable.
