I have recently had the experience of seeking a new role as a solicitor. After one interview I was offered feedback which never materialised. I attended another interview on Wednesday 27th June and have yet to hear back from the firm, despite chasing. I assume that I was unsuccessful but to not even let a candidate know shows an appalling lack of basic common decency, imho. Fortunately I have since found a better role elsewhere but if my recent experience is anything to go by (I also echo the comments below about issues that were obvious from my C.V. being raised) the legal profession has a lot to learn in this area.
