My eldest son is hoping to study at either Oxford or Cambridge, and is a very intelligent lad busting his gut on his studies. His attitude is spot on and his commitment 100%. He is not from a wealthy family, is not privately educated and his Mum didn't go to University. And yet according to this survey he should not be a prime consideration for law firms if he goes to either University (not that he'd touch law with a barge pole). That's the sad state of affairs we've sometimes got ourselves into when excellence is a taboo.
